Trysil 1105 is an 85 cm bollard built from an extruded aluminium profile, powder-coated in graphite (RAL 7016). At the top the profile bends into a horizontal arm reaching out 34 cm, with the LED module set into its underside behind a clear PMMA lens. The light therefore falls downwards, onto the path beside it. How much light it gives and where it goes The luminaire draws 7.4 W and emits 706 lm at 4000 K, a neutral white under which planting and paving keep their natural colours without a yellow cast. The Ledil SCL lens with an IESNA type II/III distribution stretches the pool of light along the path instead of drawing a round circle around the post, so several bollards in a line light a walkway evenly. Norlys states a ULOR of 0%: no part of the output leaves above the fitting, so it does not shine into windows or the night sky. The light source is a built-in LED module, not a bulb, so there is nothing extra to buy. The bollard can be phase-dimmed, but only with a trailing-edge (RC) dimmer; leading-edge dimmers are not provided for. The module is rated L90 at 109,000 h, meaning it still gives 90% of its initial output after that time, close to 30 years at ten hours a night, and the driver is rated at 50,000 h. Installation and wiring The bollard bolts to the ground through a base with four ø8 mm holes spaced 18 × 50 mm. The concrete-in anchor (art. 1907) and any other mounting accessories are not included and have to be ordered separately. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², and the round-sheathed supply cable can be up to 12.5 mm in diameter. Through-wiring is possible with up to 3 × 1.5 mm², so a row of bollards along a driveway runs from one supply line looped from fitting to fitting. This is a protection class I luminaire and must be connected to the protective earth. IP65 means a dust-tight housing that withstands water jets, and IK08 an impact resistance that matters beside a driveway or pavement. Where it fits Norlys designs Trysil for gardens, private grounds and architectural settings: the downward arm and lengthwise distribution suit a garden path, a driveway, a terrace or the approach to a hotel or restaurant.
