Nordlux Orbiform ceiling light – brass and smoked glass, E27, 23 cm

Name: Nordlux Orbiform ceiling light – brass and smoked glass, E27, 23 cm
Brand: Nordlux

Nordlux Orbiform is a ceiling light combining smoked glass with metalwork in a brushed brass finish. A diamond relief covers the rounded dome as it narrows towards the bottom, rather than appearing only as a decorative border. The pattern remains visible when the light is off; when illuminated, the textured glass breaks up the view of the bulb into small reflections.A 23 cm shade without a pendant dropThis version mounts against the ceiling instead of hanging from a long suspension. Its overall diameter is 23 cm and its height is 25.3 cm. Compare that projection with your ceiling height and the clearance above any opening doors before choosing its position. The ceiling canopy measures 15 cm across, which is also worth checking against the existing electrical outlet.Nordlux identifies entrance halls and corridors as suitable applications. The compact diameter also makes it worth considering as decorative overhead lighting in a bedroom or living room where a suspended shade is not wanted. In a larger room, choose the number of fittings and bulb brightness according to the lighting needed rather than assuming that one small fitting will be sufficient.Choose the E27 bulb separatelyOrbiform has one E27 socket and is supplied without a bulb. The maximum permitted bulb wattage is 40 W; this is a limit, not a fixed consumption figure for the fitting with any LED bulb. Brightness and colour temperature depend on the light source you select. The smoked, patterned shade also affects the visible light effect, so the bulb's lumen rating alone does not describe its appearance through the glass.Dimming is possible with a dimmable bulb and compatible control. The E27 socket does not make a non-dimmable bulb suitable for brightness adjustment.Art deco detailing in handmade glassThe brass finish and repeated diamond pattern lend themselves to art deco and decorative glamour interiors. Each shade is individually made from mouth-blown glass. Nordlux notes that small air bubbles and variations in glass thickness can occur during this process. Allow for those individual differences when arranging several identical fittings together.Εμφάνιση περισσότερων
