Name: Design For The People Maple 55 black pendant light, Ø55 cm, E27 2220293003
Brand: Nordlux

Maple 55 by Design For The People is a black pendant light designed by Charlotte Høncke. Curved, overlapping shade sections create a petal-like outline rather than an enclosed globe or a simple cone. Metal is the primary material, with plastic used as a secondary material.A wide shade with a shallow profileThe 55 cm diameter and 19 cm shade height describe a broad, relatively shallow form. Before choosing a position, compare its footprint with your table width and the clearance to nearby cabinets. The 19 cm measurement is not the overall hanging height: the cable and ceiling canopy must be considered separately. The black cable has a textile covering and is 300 cm long. Nordlux identifies it as non-replaceable, so it should not be treated as a separate accessory that can simply be exchanged later. The fitting has a net weight of 2.62 kg, which should be considered when selecting a fixing appropriate to the actual ceiling.Your bulb determines the lightThere is one E27 socket, and no bulb is included. The maximum permitted bulb wattage is 40 W; this is a limit, not a fixed electricity consumption for the pendant. Brightness and colour temperature depend on the bulb you select, rather than being specified by the black shade. Neither a particular lumen output nor warm-white light is built into this fitting.Dimming requires a dimmable bulb and compatible control. Installing an ordinary non-dimmable bulb in this socket does not make it dimmable. Choose the source to suit both the light you want and the control you intend to use.Dining-table lighting with an organic outlineThe manufacturer recommends Maple above a dining table or in a selected corner indoors. Its broad form can also serve as supplementary lighting in a living room or bedroom; hotel and restaurant installations still need the same placement and bulb checks. The curved outline belongs to modern Italian design, while the black exterior emphasises the petal edges rather than the arms of a conventional chandelier.Show more
