NORLYS Koster Pro 1831GR post-top luminaire, graphite RAL 7016, LED 17.1 W 4000 K, dimmable, for Ø50 pole

Name: NORLYS Koster Pro 1831GR post-top luminaire, graphite RAL 7016, LED 17.1 W 4000 K, dimmable, for Ø50 pole
Brand: NORLYS

The Koster Pro 1831GR is a NORLYS post-top luminaire: a domed shade 24.5 cm across on a straight arm, slipped onto a Ø50 mm pole spigot. The body is powder-coated cast aluminium in graphite RAL 7016, and the underside is closed by a clear, textured, UV-stabilised polycarbonate diffuser. Mounting and dimensions The whole head is 45 cm long and 24.5 cm high. It slides 80 mm deep onto a Ø50 mm spigot. The pole is ordered separately – the manufacturer lists telescopic poles 1270, 1273 and 3011 for this luminaire – so check before buying that the spigot of the planned pole is 50 mm. The luminaire weighs 2.6 kg and has a side area of 0.045 m², the figure to compare with the permitted wind load of the pole. It comes with a 4.2 m H05VV-F 2x1 cable that runs inside the pole to a suitable junction box. As a protection class II luminaire it needs no earth conductor. The manufacturer also approves it for emergency installations fed with 176–280 V DC. How much light, and what kind The LED module produces 2801 lm, and 2002 lm leaves the luminaire at 17.1 W, or 117.1 lm/W. That is main-lighting output: one head lights a square or path around the pole rather than just marking the way. 4000 K is a neutral white under which plants and paving keep natural colours, and CRI 70 is typical of outdoor area lighting. The light is shaped by a Ledil T2-M lens, and the manufacturer describes the distribution as wide and even. ULOR 0% means no light goes above the luminaire, and the photometry was calculated for a 3.3 m mounting height. It dims on an ordinary phase dimmer, both trailing-edge (TE) and leading-edge (LE). Build and servicing With IP65 it works outdoors without extra shelter, and IK10 rates its impact resistance. The Philips Fortimo FastFlex LED module and the driver are built in but not disposable: a professional service can replace both, and Norlys stocks them as separate spare parts. The manufacturer intends the luminaire for gardens, parks and the grounds of hotels and restaurants, and the plain, undecorated dome suits a Scandinavian style.Show more
