STEINEL NightmatIQ in white is a wall-mounted photo-cell controller for switching connected lighting according to ambient brightness. It is not a luminaire: when the selected threshold is reached, it switches the connected circuit on and turns it off again at dawn. The threshold is adjustable by potentiometer from 1 to 75 lx.Switching capacity and supplyThe controller operates on 220–240 V, 50–60 Hz. Its single switching output is rated for resistive loads up to 1000 W; the stated maximum for LED luminaires is 250 W. Check the total connected load against these limits before selecting the luminaires. The controller’s own power consumption is 0.7 W.Mounting and operating conditionsThe slim UV-resistant plastic housing is intended for surface mounting on a wall. The manufacturer specifies IP54 protection and an ambient-temperature range of −20 to 40°C for outdoor use. Recommended mounting height is 2 m, with 1.8–4 m permitted.
