The STEINEL L 845 C 078638 is a square outdoor wall light with an anthracite aluminium housing and an opal plastic cover. This version has no motion sensor of its own, but does support Bluetooth Mesh. It suits a lighting arrangement where a separate detector is not required in every individual fitting.Warm-white light with app adjustmentThe integrated LED system uses 9 W and delivers a complete-luminaire light output of 719 lm at 3000 K. That is warm-white light from the fitting itself, rather than a rating for a separately purchased bulb. The opal front conceals a direct view of the light source, while the dark surrounding frame remains part of its appearance when switched off.Main-light brightness can be adjusted from 10 to 100% through the STEINEL Connect App. The fitting also provides soft light start and Bluetooth Mesh networking. Motion-dependent functions and optional basic lighting require connection with an appropriate sensor-equipped version. The C designation therefore should not be confused with a fitting that detects movement independently.Wall clearance and outdoor placementThe mounting drawing shows a 13.4 × 13.4 cm front and an 8.7 cm projection from the wall. Compare that projection with door swing and available passage space before deciding where to install it. STEINEL specifies wall mounting, with an optimum mounting height of 2 m and a maximum of 2.5 m.The manufacturer's stated applications include entrance areas, building exteriors, terraces or balconies, courtyards and driveways. IP44 supports the intended outdoor use. Its plain square outline and contrast between the light cover and dark frame suit modern, minimalist architecture.Included source and maintenanceNo separate bulb is needed: the LED system is included. Neither the light source nor the control gear is replaceable. STEINEL provides a five-year manufacturer's warranty. Connection to a 220–240 V supply must follow the applicable electrical regulations.
