The Steinel IS 130-2 in anthracite RAL 7016 is a wall-mounted motion sensor that switches connected lighting. Its plastic housing has a plain vertical front and a pale sensor lens at the bottom. It is a separate control device, not a light fitting.Match the detection zone to the approachThe infrared sensor covers an angle of 130°. Its reach is up to 12 m for movement across the detection zone, but up to 3 m for movement directly towards the sensor. When choosing a position on the building, consider the direction people approach from as well as the distance to the entrance.The sensor head swivels horizontally through 50° and tilts vertically through 90°. Individual segments can be masked to restrict detection to the intended route. A sneak-by guard supplements coverage beneath the unit. Infrared heat detection does not work through walls or glass, so these obstacles must not separate the lens from the area being monitored.Choose when and how long lights operateRotary controls set the ambient-light threshold between 2 and 1000 lx and the switch-on time between 5 seconds and 35 minutes. This lets you choose the surrounding light level at which movement activates the connected lighting and how long it remains on. The device does not dim the lamps or maintain a constant lighting level.Wall mounting and load compatibilitySteinel specifies indoor and outdoor use, including front doors, terraces, balconies and driveways. The IP54 housing measures 8.7 × 7.8 × 11 cm, with a recommended mounting height of 2 m. The restrained anthracite face suits contemporary façades without adding decorative detailing.The 230–240 V mains connection requires professional electrical installation. The 600 W rating applies to resistive loads, not to every LED arrangement. For LED lamps individually rated above 8 W, the specified total load limit is 250 W; smaller lamps have lower limits.
